Hi everyone, welcome to my new blog, Miles of Smiles!!
I have always had a lot of thoughts to share, but I often struggle to convey them through the spoken word. This is a space where words flow free; no paralyzing fear of judgment, no obsessing over hostile tones, no anxious “what will they think of me”s.
Just you, me, and some words.

When I had my first inkling to start a blog, I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to write about. Although it will certainly still be a hodge-podge of inspiration from my chaotic brain, one specific theme tugged on my heartstrings: joy.
There are so many beautiful things that make me happy on a daily basis, but the bar gets so much higher when I reflect on things that bring me joy. Joy comes from a deeper part of the soul, it is cleaved from the aspects of life that keep me going. Believe it or not, one of those aspects is running.
Running brings me peace, resilience, community, hope, and so much more. Miles of Smiles isn’t just a blog about running. It’s about all the strength running has given me to overcome obstacles and find a purpose in every single day.
Every mile of your run is a new opportunity to make a change, hold onto hope, follow your dream, get even the tiniest bit better. Maybe you see where I’m going with this, but I like to think of everyday as a new mile. Every single day is a gift, another chance.
There’s always a reason to smile, a reason to choose joy, to give it your all. Just take it one mile at a time. When things get hard, always remember that there are so many miles of smiles ahead.
